Biography
Andrew Denton is a writer, performer and television producer. He was formerly a celebrity, but is now in remission. He is the founding director of Go Gentle Australia, a charity dedicated to offering Australians better end-of-life choices.

Biography
Dr Danielle Ferraro is a medical oncologist with a particular interest in the management of breast and gastrointestinal cancers.
She graduated from Monash University in 2000 and became a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2011. She completed advanced training in Medical Oncology at St Vincent’s Hospital, Eastern Health and the Austin Hospital. She has also worked a research fellow at the NHMRC Clinical Trials Centre at the University of Sydney, and is currently undertaking a PhD focusing on colorectal cancer through the University of Melbourne.
Dr Ferraro holds a public hospital appointment at Eastern Health, and undertakes regular clinics at Maroondah Hospital and Yarra Ranges health, as well as inpatient care at Maroondah Hospital. She is involved in clinical trials through Eastern Health and actively encourages patient participation in clinical research.
She is a member of the Medical Oncology Group of Australia, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, and the Australasian Gastro-Intestinal cancer Trials Group.

Biography
Dr Chloe Furst is a dual trained geriatrician and palliative care physician working across both specialties within the Central Adelaide Local Health Network (CALHN) in South Australia. She is the Medical Lead for the Acute and Urgent Care program at the Royal Adelaide Hospital and is the South Australian state division president of the Australian and New Zealand Society of Geriatric Medicine. She has a special interest in capacity, cognitive impairment, multimorbidity and end of life care and the ethics around these complex issues. She has a strong commitment to the care of the older adult and ensuring that our hospital systems are safe for patients and doctors alike and that patients get treatment aligned to their goals of care in the right environment and is a member of the comprehensive care national advisory panel for the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care. She has been heavily involved in the roll out of Voluntary Assisted Dying (VAD) in SA as part of the SA VAD implementation task force and as South Australia’s VAD clinical liaison and has clinically been an active VAD practitioner. She is a board member of VADANZ Australia’s peak body for VAD clinicians and recently presented as part of the UK’s select committee in to assisted dying.

Biography
Susan is on the Board of Directors for VADANZ and is Director, Vic VAD navigator service. She was engaged in 2019 to develop a model of care for the Victorian voluntary assisted dying navigator service, the first in Australia. Susan continues to lead the statewide service and has both birds eye and intimate view of the evolution of the medical workforce in VAD. This includes successes and challenges, both predicted and unexpected. Susan is a nurse with an extensive clinical and health program development background in Australia and abroad.

Biography
Lesley McLeod RN, GradDipNursing, MNurs (primary health care), MNP Lesley McLeod is a palliative care nurse with 20+ years' experience in community services. Previously, Lesley was a nurse leader in MetroSouth Palliative Care Service, and a nurse practitioner with PallConsult, a statewide palliative care education and support provider. Currently, Lesley is the ADON with QVAD Support & Pharmacy Service.

Biography
Prof Phillip Parente trained at Monash University graduating with First Class Honours in 1993. He completed training in Medical Oncology 2001 and completed a 2 year Fellowship in Immunology and Melanoma at Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research at Austin Health. Initially he worked as a Medical Oncologist at both Eastern Health and Austin Health. His current role is the Clinical Services Director of Cancer Services Eastern Health and consultant medical oncologist at Epworth Eastern. His main areas of interest are Lung Cancers, Genitourinary Cancers and Melanoma, and he is considered a clinical lead in these areas of oncology. With respect to oncology research he is principal investigator of numerous trials in his areas of interest. This has translated to numerous publications and presentations at local and international oncological conferences. Prof Parente has professional interest in teaching and training. He is a senior member of the National Examining Panel for the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and past chair Advanced Trainee Committee Medical Oncology for the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. He is also the current Treasurer and Executive Committee Member of the Medical Oncology Group of Australia, (MOGA). He is an Associate Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Medical Administrators (2023), strengthening the expertise in the maintenance of professional standards and clinical governance. Prof Phillip Parente has completed a Master of Health and Medical Law in 2020 and a Master of Human Rights Law in 2022 at the Faculty of Law, Melbourne University strengthening his interests in patient advocacy and addressing health disparities.
